A Bit About Melissa

Hi, I'm Melissa! As a Professional Organizer in Toronto, my journey to becoming organized wasn't straightforward. I'll be the first to say - I'm not organized by nature. I developed organization skills over time as a way to manage stress, overwhelm and burnout. For years, I struggled with trying to fit into perfectionist systems that didn't work for me. It wasn't until I embraced my own challenges that I found the path of least resistance.

And now, I want to share that with others as a Professional Organizer! Keep scrolling to learn more about my journey, or click the button below to get in touch.

My Background

My background is diverse, beginning with an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design, followed by an Advanced Diploma in Advertising & Marketing Communications. I spent over 12 years in the advertising industry, specializing in project management and advertising in ad agencies, non-profit and academic organizations. Through my education, career, and personal mental health journey, I came to a realization:

I had acquired a talent for organizing out of necessity to reduce disarray in my own life – and it had greatly improved my mental health. Whether I was organizing large amounts of information, managing projects with multiple people and tight deadlines, or decluttering spaces to keep me calm and composed – organization was the key element. And I wanted to bring that sense of calm to others.

This led me to pursue certifications as a professional organizer. I am currently certified through Professional Organizers in Canada and am working towards specialized certifications for tackling ADHD and Hoarding Disorder through the Institute for Challenging Disorganization.

My Approach

Through my experiences, I've learned that the best systems are those tailored specifically to how your brain works - and not everyone's brain works the same. It's not always about having a picture-perfect room or expensive furniture and storage solutions, but about creating spaces and systems that genuinely work for you - whatever that means for you.

I am passionate about helping others facing organization struggles. Whether you're dealing with executive dysfunction, disabilities, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, I’m here to support you. My approach focuses on finding maintainable solutions that fit your unique needs. As an advocate for affordable professional organizing, I offer my services at reasonable prices to ensure accessibility for as many people as possible. Worried you don't have the budget for my services? Reach out - I'll do my best to strategize a solution that works for both of us.

My Mission

One of my primary goals is to tackle your projects in ways that aren't overwhelming. Together, we'll break down tasks into manageable steps and develop strategies that make sense for your lifestyle. I'm here to help you navigate beyond the clutter and find order in a way that feels right for you. Let's work together to create spaces and systems that support your life and well-being.
